The Beatles :: LSD period?
I've been doing a little research into what cool covers I can do on my solo gigs and of course, The Beatles are always high on the list of bands to steal songs from. As I was doing my research, I stumbled over - Across The Universe, from their 1969 Let It Be album. The song is really beautifully written, and was quite popular, however at a closer look, the lyrics flow like a poem but holy crap is it a little bit random:
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass they slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind Possessing and caressing me Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes They call me on and on across the universe Thoughts meander like restless wind inside a letterbox They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe Sounds of laughter, shades of earth are ringing through my open ears Inciting and inviting me, Limitless, undying love which shines around me like a million suns And call e on and on across the universe. The Beatles... I don't know if you've heard of them, but check them out :) spiersy out Leave Comment: |
